About me
I’m Leon Stigter, a Senior Cloud Consultant at Skyworkz. I help customers build on the cloud and in the cloud, turning technology into something that solves real problems rather than just adding another layer of complexity.
I’ve been in tech for over 20 years, working across product management, developer advocacy, and solutions architecture. Along the way I’ve worked at Lightbend, VMware, TIBCO, and AWS, helping teams build developer-focused products and architectures, and learning (sometimes the hard way) what it takes to ship better software faster.
My core belief is simple: devs wanna dev. The best thing I can do is give teams the right tools, patterns, and guidance so they can focus on building great things instead of fighting infrastructure.
These days, my work is all about cloud engineering, cloud-native architecture, and helping organizations make the cloud work for them, from figuring out the right approach to getting it built and running in production.
Outside of work, I write code, speak at conferences, and blog about whatever I find interesting. That usually means cloud, serverless, data, or software architecture. I’m also on a never-ending quest to find the world’s best cheesecake. Recommendations are always welcome 🍰
